The sides of the car are decorated to look like a map and there can be seen a portrait of Merriweather Lewis. The caption on the front says "Traveller's Rest – Fascinating New Buffet–Lounge on Vista–Dome North Coast Limited." The caption on the back says "The Lewis and Clark Traveller's Rest Buffet–Lounge car, designed by Raymond Loewy, is latest extra on the Vista–Dome North Coast Limited, one of the world's extra fine trains. Stewardess–nurse service is another extra on this crack transcontinental streamliner. " It is in excellent unsent condition.
