S.A. Agnew Lumber Company 1
This Shay-type geared locomotive (Lima Locomotive and Machine Works, 1904), class C, was operated by Newhouse Mines and Smelter Company, then Cramer Kay Machinery Company, and Eastern Railway and Lumber Company, later renamed S.A. Agnew Lumber Company. It is a three-truck Shay-type geared locomotive and pulled ore and log trains throughout its career in Utah and Washington. Number 1 was retired in 1951 and stored at a sawmill until it was donated to the Northwest Railway Museum in 1969. It is the second oldest surviving class C Shay and is currently stored at the Kimball Creek Yard in downtown Snoqualmie.
