Wine Train

Snoqualmie Days

August 22 & 23

Come to historic downtown Snoqualmie for a train ride, then stick around for the city’s annual festival to celebrate the people and culture of the Snoqualmie Valley! Train rides are still only on Saturday & Sunday.

Railway History Campus Tour

Saturdays at 9:00 through August 30

Join an educator-led experience at the Railway History Campus. Tour the Train Shed Exhibit Hall, the Conservation and Restoration Workshop, for a first-hand look at current restoration projects before boarding the train. The round-trip experience lasts approximately 3 hours. Intended for ages 13+.

Halloween Train

October 11-12, 18-19, & 25-26

Join the Northwest Railway Museum for an autumn celebration featuring slightly spooky fun including hot cider, cider press demonstrations, live music, hands-on apple coring, and other seasonal activities! Costumes encouraged for visitors of all ages!

Santa Limited

Saturdays & Sundays November 29-30, December 6-7, 13-14, & 20-21

Ring in the holidays with a 2-hour excursion that begins out of North Bend Depot with a ride to the Railway History Campus. There you will have an hour to enjoy cookies and hot chocolate, seasonal crafts, photo opportunities, and visit with Santa in the restored Chapel Car 5 where all children receive a gift from him. Afterward you will hop back aboard and return to North Bend. More information available here.

Yuletide Express

Fridays December 12 & 19
Saturdays November 29, December 6, 13, & 20

A shorter experience still perfect for making holiday memories! This round-trip train ride will take you from Snoqualmie Depot to the top of Snoqualmie Falls for a gorgeous winter view of the Snoqualmie River Valley. Santa rides aboard the train and visits with every family during the ride. All children receive a gift from Santa and all passengers receive a peppermint treat upon returning to Snoqualmie. Railway History Campus

Wednesdays – Mondays, 11:00 – 4:00

Tour the Museum’s exhibit hall located on Stone Quarry Road at the Railway History Campus. This 25,000 square-foot exhibit building features the museum’s main exhibits.

Story Time

Every 1st, 3rd, and 5th Wednesdays at 11:00 at the Snoqualmie Depot

Join us for a free experience for families with railfans of all ages. It includes 1-3 stories read in a casual atmosphere followed by a hands-on activity and time to tour the Train Shed.

Tickets for certain special events go on sale closer to the event dates, so please sign up for the Museum’s e-newsletter to be among the first to know when the event tickets become available. *Yearly event schedules subject to change dependent on staff and equipment availability. Locomotives and coaches are historic and may need to be swapped out on short notice.

Day Out With Thomas

Three weekends in July –

All aboard for a Day Out With Thomas! Join the very helpful engine on an excursion with plenty of fun for the whole family! Advance ticket purchase recommended, this event usually sells out early!

Snoqualmie Days

August

An annual festival celebrating the anniversary of the City of Snoqualmie’s first fire truck, run by Snoqualmie’s Historic Downtown Merchants Association. Enjoy shopping, food, live music, and even a parade!

The Museum runs demonstrations of Steam Locomotive NP 924 throughout the day in addition to the regularly scheduled diesel locomotive excursions. Steam locomotive is currently out of service.

Labor Day Weekend Excursions

October Steam Weekend

First full weekend in October

One of the limited runs of Steam Locomotive 924. Enjoy a 2-hour round trip excursion from Snoqualmie Depot or North Bend Depot. Includes admission to the Train Shed Exhibit Hall.

Last three full weekends in October

Harvest time is in the air and the Museum is ready for some slightly spooky fun! Come dressed in your favorite Halloween costume for a 2-hour round trip excursion that includes admission to the Train Shed Exhibit Hall as well as extra seasonal activities like cider making demonstrations, themed games, live music, and hands-on apple coring. Advance ticket purchase recommended.

November Steam Weekend

First full weekend in November

The last run of Steam Locomotive 924 for the year. Enjoy a 2-hour round trip excursion from Snoqualmie Depot or North Bend Depot. Includes admission to the Train Shed Exhibit Hall.

Santa Trains

Four Weekends between Thanksgiving – Christmas

Join the NRM in welcoming the holidays with a unique opportunity to meet with Santa inside a train car. The Museum has two different excursions available:

Santa Limited, a 2-hour round trip excursion where families spend an hour at the Railway History Campus to enjoy cookies and cocoa, seasonal decorations and activities, and visit with Santa inside the restored Chapel Car.

Yuletide Express, a 25 or 40-minute round trip train ride where Santa visits families aboard the train. Recommended for families with younger children who may not enjoy the longer option.

Railway History Campus Tour & Train Ride

Field Trips

Birthday Parties

Saturdays and Sundays, arranged in advance.

A birthday party at the Northwest Railway Museum gets you a private party space in the classroom, a ride aboard the historic train, and complimentary admission to the Train Shed Exhibit Hall!
