On a crisp spring afternoon, the Northwest Railway Museum welcomed guests aboard its first Wine Train of the season—an experience that blended local flavor, community spirit, and a journey through time.

In the background, an old window lets in light.Partnering with Pearl & Stone Wine Co. and Sigillo Cellars, the Museum offered a progressive tasting experience across two of its most engaging sites.  The journey began at the Snoqualmie Depot, where passengers sampled their first wines inside the beautifully preserved freight room, surrounded by heritage charm and the soft hum of anticipation.

A lady in a white shirt and black skirt pours wine into a guests glass.From there, guests boarded the train and rode to historic Bridge 35, taking in the scenic beauty of the Upper Snoqualmie Valley and Mount Si before arriving at the Train Shed Exhibit Hall for the second tasting session.  Surrounded by exhibits and artifacts from the region’s rich railway history, visitors enjoyed additional pours while savoring slices of classic pie from Twede’s Café, a beloved local landmark.

The final leg of the ride brought passengers past the roaring Snoqualmie Falls and back to the Depot, completing a full-circle journey that celebrated the region’s past and present in equal measure.
