Get your costumes ready to hop aboard the train this October. Every weekend starting October 12th through October 27th will be Halloween Train! Halloween Train is our normal 2-hour round-trip excursion with a fall-flavored twist and some spooky elements. After your visit to the top of the falls, where you see a stunning view of the Snoqualmie Valley, it’s a visit to a “Halloween-ified” Train Shed.
At the Train Shed you will hear special musical guest Eric Ode with family-friendly fall songs in the Train Shed Foyer. But that’s not all! Activities for kids of all ages will be throughout the Train Shed and in the REC building classroom. Outside, rain or shine, NRM volunteer Earl W. will be there with his cider press and tons of apples! Sadly, no guest can taste Earl’s cider, but smaller apple presses for guests to try will be next to the large press and you can grab a free cup of cider from the REC. Inside the REC classroom will be hot cider and traditional board games like checkers and the famous triangle peg game you see at certain restaurants! Can you master the challenge?
Our entire train set, the Snoqualmie Depot, and the Train Shed Exhibit Hall will be decorated with friendly skeletons, pumpkins, and scarecrows, and maybe a spider or two. Join in on the fun and dress up in costume! When else can you ride a train and be Frankenstein? At the very end of your Halloween Train experience, all young guests get a Halloween treat to take home.
