Need more summer fun?  Story Time’s sensory activities and crafts use household items that are easy to set up, clean up, and enjoy!  One of the most popular crafts was stamping a freight train using square sponges, different paint colors, and a piece of construction paper.  For a fun tracing activity, grab a large piece of paper, draw different color curving lines, and place color-coded trains at one end.  Can your little one get their train to ‘parking spot’ at the end?  How many different ‘tracks’ can your engineer create and then trace?  Need a heat-beating activity?  Cover your trains with washable paint, let it dry, and then set up a mini ‘traincar wash’ with sponges and soapy water.  Clean the train cars and repeat with different messy items!  Summer and trains?  No problem.

Cover for "Puff"Story Time starting August 6th will be at the Railway History Campus starting at 11:00.  This program is free and includes a visit to the Train Shed Exhibit Hall.
