The Snoqualmie Depot in early spring.Sunshine is streaming into Snoqualmie Depot, fledglings are learning how to fly, and all of Snoqualmie is bustling with activity!  June is signaling that it is here, that summer is one month away, and some of our most exciting events of the year are on the horizon.

Last month the Museum celebrated the women in our lives and on the railroad, with the return of wine trains!  Alongside that, the weekend held sweet family moments, chocolate, and beautifully folded paper flowers adorning the Train Shed Exhibit Hall.  All of which will be happening again this month for our Father’s Day Weekend and Juneteenth Train excursions, including a wine train; tickets are still available

25 years ago. Can you believe it!

Memorial Day brought passengers an extra train day on Monday, pulled by the NRM’s former US Army Transportation Corp’s diesel engines! This month marks 25 years since 4024 & 4012 arrived at the Museum, and they will have a spotlight later this month in the blog.

Have you ever wanted a guided tour of the Northwest Railway Museum’s collection, and projects?  Memorial Day weekend started off our new season of Railway History Campus Tours & Train Ride.  The tour is a 3-hour experience, with an educator-led trip inside the Messenger of Peace Chapel Car and a rare visit inside the Conservation & Restoration Workshop (normally off-limits to the public!), plus a full round-trip aboard the Snoqualmie Valley Railroad with the Educator pointing out the local history!  Tours operate through Labor Day weekend (except during Day Out With Thomas) and are a fantastic way to learn more about the NRM and its history.

This little fledgling is disappointed that guests are missing out on the fun events here at the Museum. Don’t let them down, book your spot today!

What can you expect to see coming up at the Museum? So many events!  June is just the start of the peak season here at the NRM, with train excursions and Wine trains, followed by Day Out with Thomas, a sneak peek event at Design in Motion with Cesar Vergara, and so much more!
